Can we squeeze in a couple more Christmas Cards?

I wanted to share a couple more Christmas projects with you.   I will post the next three day until Christmas Eve.  I hope you have a minute to take a peek.   I love all the Holiday Sets we had in the Holiday Mini Catalog, just to let you know they are carrying over several Stamp Sets and accessories if you still haven't gotten all that you wanted.  The new book goes into effect on January 2, so it is not online for you to view just yet. I will post the list tomorrow with another project or card.
If you don't have a demonstrator and would like to have The Spring Mini or our 2012-2013 Idea Book, just sign up on my website www.roseannmarr.stampinup.com
and request a catalog.  While you are there check out the Clearance Rack, for the first time ever Stampin UP has put some stamp sets at deep discount.
Here we go......

I got the idea for these gift card holders from Selene Kempton's website Stamp4fun.net I made several of them for my gift cards this year, they took very little supplies and no time at all.  I did different colors using my Christmas Designer Series Paper.  I only had two left to show you but I did several different colors. The one on the left was done with Cherry Cobbler and the right was done in real red, I tried to match the colors with the DSP. I hope you can check out Selene's work she is amazing!

Well, that was quick I know we are all busy getting ready for Christmas.  I will stop in tomorrow with another card or project to share.
Until then, be kind and do one thing today that makes you happy.

Come to Bethlehem

Wow, I can't believe there are only 12 days to Christmas.  Soon 2012 will be gone and we with have a new year to look forward to.  I have been busy getting my shopping done and cards made and mailed.   Today I have a card I created for one of my cards I sent this year.  It was done using "Come to Bethlehem" (120591)

I did the base in Whisper White with my mat done in Basic Black that I ran thru the Big Shot to give it some dimension.  I used the Fancy Fan Textured Emboss Folder.  Then I used a small piece of  Silver Glitter.  Lastly I stamped my image on Shimmer paper and added a Rhinestone on the star.  I stamped the inside with the verse that was in the set.  I used Black Stazon to stamp my images.  Stampin' UP! makes it as easy as pie to create a beautiful card that will become a keepsake for your friends and family .
A short post for today, until next time....be kind to one another and Do one thing today that makes you happy!

Another Christmas Blessings

Welcome back.  I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgivings and didn't eat to much :-)  We were able to a little yard work, the weather here in SW Florida has been beautiful.
Today I have a card I did with a set from the 2012-2013 Annual Idea Book, called Christmas Blessings (123809).  I used some Not so Christmas colors but think it came out pretty good.  I hope you agree.  It is done with Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke card stock and Champagne Glitter Paper.  I used Stampin' Write Markers (regal 11970) to color my images and Petals-A-Plenty Embossing Folder (116824) to give it some texture.  Lastly, I used Apothecary Accents Framelites (127003) and my Big Shot (113439) to cut the focal point of my card out.   I almost forgot the little pop of red, my bow.  For that I used  Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Tulle Ribbon (127841).

First I made the base of the card, it is Soft Suede, then added a piece of Very Vanilla and a piece of Crumb Cake that I ran thru the Big Shot with my Embossing Folder.
I cut 1 Always Artichoke, and 1 Very Vanilla from the largest Framelites and I didn't need a full piece of the Glitter paper so I used a scrap big enough to cover half of the framlite and later cut to size.  After using my Markers to color my image (I used Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard, and Always Artichoke). I cut the Artichoke piece in half, and glued it on the back of  the stamped Vanilla piece (I let just a peek of the Artichoke color show at each end).  Since I wanted the majority of my image to show I cut the glitter paper down to about 1/3 of the total size and adhered it to the bottom, matching the edge of the vanilla paper.  I made my bow from Cherry Cobbler Tulle and my "Magic Bow Maker" then wrapped it around the seam and taped it on the back.  I used Stampin Dimensionals to pop it up off the card base.  Lastly, I stamped a piece of Vanilla with the sentiments found in the set using Cherry Cobbler Classic InkI finished off the inside with the Holly and my markers.
Well that's all for now, be kind and remember.......to do one thing today that makes YOU happy!  Until next time.

Snowflake Soriee

Don't forget to get over to my online store and check out the big Sale

Today my card is done with Snowflake Soiree set  (127925).  I used Early Espresso and Pretty In Pink which are not traditionally Christmas colors but it turned out okay, don't you think?  I used a method known in the Stampin' UP! world as Triple Tap, I am not sure where it came from but made a splash with everyone.   I am hoping for Santa to bring me a better camera so I can start doing videos and tutorials.  I used Espresso, Rich Razzleberry and Pretty in Pink Ink and randomly stamped the snowflakes around the paper, the pink was hard to see so I added the snowflake made with PIP Card stock and Silver Glimmer paper (124005).  To assemble first the base is Very Vanilla cut 81/2 x 5 1/2 folder in half.  Next I have a layer of Early Espresso % 3/8 x 4 1/8.  After I stamped my images on to my layers I ran it thru my Big Shot using the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Folder (127819).  I matted the smaller Vanilla pieces pieces with Pretty in Pink card stock. Stamped the "Merry Christmas" with the stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes (127802) in Early Espresso Ink and cut it out with one of the Framelit from Bitty Banners Framelites.  I hope you enjoy.
Until next time.....Do one thing today that makes YOU happy.

Be Kind and Happy Thanksgiving!

Merry Christmas with Watercolor Winter

Wow time is flying by, I can't believe we are only a week away from Thanksgiving.  Today I wanted to share a card I did, using the set Watercolor Winter 129727.  It is fast and easy with a bit of POP.  I detailed the card front after I stamped it to give it an elegant look.

I used Very Vanilla for the base (which opens at the top).  I matted it with a piece of Always Artichoke Card stock to give it just a hint of color around the edges.  Next I took a piece of Very Vanilla and stamped the sprig of pine in two opposite corners I used Always Artichoke Classic Ink Pad and for the Pine Cones I used Crumb Cake and Soft Suede Ink.  I ran it thru my Big Shot with the Fancy Fan Texture Emboss Folder ( Just wanted a light texture and thought this worked well).  I cut two Crumb Cake and a Very Vanilla frames from the Apothecary Accents Framelits and I stamped the Vanilla one first with "Merry Christmas" (from Greeting of the Season 128033) in Always Artichoke Ink.  I made a frame from the two pieces of Crumb Cake to be a bit larger than the Vanilla piece.  I used a bit of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to glue the two pieces of Crumb Cake, once they dried I added the sentiment with snail adhesive and added them to the card front with Stampin Dimensionals.  Also using Dimensionals I added the card front to the base .  I needed a bit more so I added a  Basic Pearl to each side of the label then made a double bow with my Bow Maker and stuck it to the card with a Mini Glue Dot.  I am pleased with the outcome.  Inside the card I stamped my sentiment with Heart of Christmas Stamp128129 and finished it off with another sprig and pine cones in one corner
I hoped you enjoyed my card.  Have a great day and until next time....

A Great Resource!

Happy Monday to All
I wanted to share a card that I did the other day.  I took the idea right from the Holiday Catalog.  Why,  you might ask.  I wanted to show you that our Catalogs are a great resource for making a beautiful card or project with any of our Stamp Sets.  You can do it just like it is in the book or make it your own by changing it up a bit.  The seeds of countless ideas are right in front of you.  So next time you are stumped just "Look in your book". The possibilities are endless.....
Now on to the card......................This is made with the set Joyous Celebrations.

OK it's not exact but I got the idea from the picture in the Holiday Catalog, page 7.  I used Joyous Celebrations Stamp Set (128069 Clear $15.95 or Wood 128066 $22.95) This is a set of 9 so it gives you plenty of options.  I made the base with Real Red Card Stock and stamped my images with Real Red ink pad ( for the frame, bow and the saying).  Old Olive for the branches, I also used Old Olive for the sentiment inside using the More Merry Messages Stamp set (126402).  I layered a piece of Whisper White cut to 51/4" x 4" to give it some color around the edges.  Then a Whisper White layer is cut to 5" x 3 3/4" and run through my Big Shot with the Holiday Frame Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (127820).  Then I stamped the oval frame and bow on a scrap of White added the sprig with Old Olive and punched it out with the Extra large Oval Punch.  I had to cut out the bow and added a colored rhinestone (I learned the technique from my friend Lee, you just color the rhinestone with a colored Sharpie)  I did this one Red but you can do yours any color you want.  This layer was added to the base using Stampin' Dimensionals to give it some POP.  I also used Dimensionals to adhere the frame onto the card.  I added the bow with a Mini Glue dot and the banner with Snail Adhesive. I made the banner by cutting a stripe of Whisper White CS, I stamped the Christmas Wishes in Real Red.  I flagged the ends with my square punch.  It's an easy card with plenty of Fabulous!!!  Until next time......

Have a wonderful Veterans Day.  Don't forget to Thank a solider and remember to......Do one thing today that makes you happy.
Kindness is Contagious!

Now on to my card...the set is called Full of Blessings (128081) it is from our Holiday Catalog.

I used a base of Crumb Cake with a mat of Early Espresso that I embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder for some texture.  Next I edged a piece from our Designer Paper Orchard Harvest with Lucky Limeade Ruffle Ribbon from our 2111-2013 In Colors.  I stamped the image on a piece of Water Color paper with Black Stazon, then colored the image with Watercolor Crayons & my Aqua Painter.  Using a scrap of Whisper White I stamped the sentiment in Black Staz-on and punched it out with a 3/4" circle punch.  I wanted a pop of color, so I punched out a 1" circle from a scrap of Island Indigo also from the 2011-2013 In Colors Collection. and mounted the smaller circle to it.. I softened the image by rounding the top corners and then mounted my image and circle to a piece of More Mustard, which I had rounded to match my image.  Used Stampin' Dimensionals to mount this to the card base and finished the inside.  For full directions and a supply list, visit my SU website by clicking here.  Well that is all for today until next time....Please take a minute from your busy day to "do one thing that makes you happy" and remember to be kind to each other, you never know what burdens someone is carrying.

I wanted to make a card that was simple to make but still had the WOW factor.
This is what I came up with using the set Christmas Blessings (123809).
I started with a Very Vanilla Base and matted it with Cherry Cobbler Card Stock.  Then on  a smaller layer of Very Vanilla I stamped the sentiment , using Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink Pad and sponged the edges with the same ink.  On a small piece of Vanilla I stamped my Holly image in Black Staz-On.  Using a small frame for the Window Frames Framelits (12921) I cut out the image.  I also cut 2 mats the same size from Cherry Cobbler to make a faux frame.  Using Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Stampin' Write Markers to color the image. I matted it with the two frames of Cherry and adhered it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.   I added a double bow (made with my Magic Bow Maker) from Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding.
I hope you enjoy my card and the other great cards or projects you will see on the tour.

Hope you all are having a great week, we here in South Florida are waiting for fall to arrive.  It doesn't get very cold here so if the temps dip into the 70's it's a welcome change.
I just loved the Googly Ghouls set and saw this card online and wanted to share it with you.  I don't make very many Halloween cards but this one is a breeze to make.  This is the last of my Halloween posts.  This is an easy card, the base is Elegant Eggplant, with layer 1 being black and embossed with the Spider Web Folder.  I used a piece of Whisper white on the inside, the sentiment is Pumpkin Pie and the spider is stamped in Basic Black.

The Eggplant layer is punched with a 11/4 circle and the black is a 1 3/8 circle.  I put my white inside and then stamped the spider into the circle through the hole in the Eggplant.  Add the top layer aligning the circles.  Stamped the Happy Halloween inside and finished the spider with some Goolies.  Fast and easy as pie.  Hope you enjoy.  Here is a quick list of supplies and the measurements.

    Christmas in White

Here is another Christmas card idea.  This is a CASE from an event I participated in last Fall.  It is done with Whisper White card stock, a  piece of Silver Glitter and a piece of Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Seam Binding.  I used a bit of Crystal Effects on black card stock for the door knob.  Popped it up using dimensionals.  This is a very WOW card and easy as pie to make.
    Hope you enjoy!

I used the Merry Christmas for Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370 Wood $36.95 and 127802 Clear $26.95 Set of 24).  Measurement are Base Whisper white 4.25 x 11 folded (open at top) to 4.25 x 5/5,
Layer 1 is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, Layer 2 which makes up the door is 3 3/4 x 4 7/8 ( I cut it into sections of 1 7/8 x 21/4 for top and 17/8 x 2 5/8 for bottom).  Stamp you sentiment on the lower left piece and add the knob to the right side as shown.  I used a 1/4 round punch for the knob.  To make the wreath I punched my square (2 x 2) with 1 3/4 scallop then the 1" round to punch out the center.  I used Miss Lee's Fabulous Bow Maker for my bow and used a glue dot to adhere it to the wreath.  Easy Peasy
Until next time.....when I will be doing some Halloween ideas.......take a minute out of your busy day to do one thing that makes you happy.

    Scentsational Season Bundle

It's never to early to think about a design for your "handmade" Christmas cards.  I have been playing with a couple ideas.  So today, I wanted to share a card I did with the Scentsational Season stamp set and Holiday Collection Framelits Dies from the Holiday Mini catalog (129946 clear bundle $32.95).  It's done in Whisper White and Riding Hood Red with the tree being stamped in Gumball Green and topped with a Glitter Red Star.

First I ran the white layer thru my Big Shot cutting out the tree with a Framelits, then I embossed the piece with a textured impressions folder ( I used Snow Burst) and the I stamped the tree on a scrap of Whisper White with Gumball Green classic pad.  I punched out the tree and a small star using the framelits. I used Snail Adhesive to attached the Riding Hood Red layer to the base, then Dimensionals to attached the White embossed piece to the card, be careful around the tree cutout, I put the dimensionals around the opening so it would not colaspe.  I gently set the tree into the cutout and added the star to the top using adhesive.  Using a strip of white I stamped the sentiment and added a bit of red to make it pop.  It's is a fast and easy card that has a bit of WOW.....I hope you enjoy this card as much as I did making it.

Don't forget the Back to Spool special  place a $40 order and get a spool of our new 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon FREE!  It's an $8.95 value.  Until next time.

    Creative Elements

Hi everyone....I wanted to share a card I did for a special couple's second wedding anniversary.  I used one of Shelli's Signature Collection set called Creative Elements.  I saw a version of this card on Split Coast stampers and knew it had to be made for a special occasion.  I did the base in Whisper white and added a mat in Midnight Muse then added another white layer.  I stamped the flowers in Raseberry Ripple, Midnight Muse Daffodil  Delight and Licky Limeade on a scrap of White and then cut them out (wished we had a punch for this one) ha ha.  I used mono adhesive and dimensonals to attach the flowers to the card base.  Stamped Happy Anniversary in Midnight Muse.  Easy Peasy and what a WOW, I just had to share it.  I hope you enjoy.

Stamp sets: Creative Elements, 122647 Clear set of 8 $24.95 and Something to Celebrate for the words (sorry this one is retired, but the only Happy Anniversary I had)
Whisper White and Midnight Muse Card Stock
    Base 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, layer 1 Midnight 5 3/8 x 4 1/8, layer 2 White 5 1/4 x 4.
Have a great Monday, until next time.  Keep stampin!

    Welcome Baby

    Happy Labor Day Everyone...
Today I have a gift enclosure card that I made for a friend who is having a baby girl next month.  This done with the set Baby Prints (120576 clear 21.95 and 125470 wood 27.95 set of 7).  I used Very Vanilla and Pink Pirouette paper and Crumb Cake and Pink Pirouette ink.   I ran the vanilla and pink layers though the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot folder and matted the top layer with pink.  I looped a piece of  3/8' Taffeta Ribbon behind the first layer.  Popped the layer up with Dimensionals.  I used a retired set of words (shhhhh don't tell anyone) for the Welcome Baby added some sparkle with our Basic Rhinestones.  The card measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4".  This was a very quick and easy card and I think it turned out beautiful.  What do you think?    I hope you enjoy this card and have a great week.  Remember to do one thing today that makes you happy.  Until next time......keep Stampin!

    Summer Afternoon Sampler

Summer Afternoon is one of the new Hostess sets, it can be purchased for $10 with a $150 order or workshop.  Item #126427 Clear or 126425 wood ($14) and is a set of 4.
I used Very Vanilla for the base, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse, Cajun Craze and a bit of DSP from Comfort Cafe'.  I wanted to soften the card so I rounded the edges of all the layers with the Corner Punch.  I used the Scallop Trim Border punch for the Starfruit layer and colored the image with
Stampin' Write Markers.  Hope you enjoy.
