What do you do with a Broken Foot?

YOU CRAFT!!!!!
Today's share is two fold, I have a card done with the Double Gate Fold technique using Among the Branches stamp set and Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper both are from the Holiday Catalog.

But wait!  Some of you know that I broke my foot last Friday and I have been forced to have some down time.  I love to stamp but that isn't my only craft, some of the ladies that come to my Library classes have gotten me into beading.  Thanks to Chris & Denise,  I am hooked on the little crystals and love love love spending time creating some wearable art.  Here is what I have made in some of my down time.

This is a Bobble Bracelet and the pattern comes from Deb Roberti at Around the Beading Table.  She is a fabulous designer and I love her patterns.   I used Swarovski pearls and bicones for my bracelets and think they are stunning.  I am working on my hardest project yet, but there isn't enough done to share.  Maybe next time.

Weekly Deals

This weeks Deals are:

http://forum.sudsol.org/attachment/23801/2/US%20Weekly%20Deals.JPG

I did a class at the Lee County Library this past weekend and the ladies were delighted to do the Exploding Handbag.  Here are my samples used for inspiration.

We used a 12 x 12 Basic Black Cardstock for our base and each person did the flap and decorations in a different color polka dot.  We used the Black Glimmer Paper from the Holiday Catalog to give it some spunk. The Bow Builder, Petite Petal & new Curvy Corner Trio Punches were used along with a couple of small circles.  We used a retired border punches for our edges.  Here is a link to the Tutorial on Split Coast Stampers.

Have a great week everyone, we are trying to stay afloat with all this rain.  Glad we have a boat in the yard :-).  Until next time...Be kind and Do One Thing Today That Makes YOU Happy!

WHAT WILL YOU STAMP #29 TRAVELER

Hi All!
This week's stamp set on WWYS is Traveler.  I love this set but have found I don't use it much so I was very excited when it was this week's challenge set.  Each week the talented team on WWYS select a different set, they each design a card or project using this set.
WWYS #29

My interpretation:

I used the Stair Step Fold  technique to create my card.  Along with Traveler I used The Open Sea stamp set.  My card base was done in Blackberry Bliss, matted in Crushed Curry & Island Indigo Card Stock with a bit of Bohemian & Typeset Designer Paper.   I did use a tiny piece of Graphic45 Come Away with Me paper for the front tag which is matted in Basic Black.  I loved the way it mirrored the ship from Traveler and the phrase "Catch the trade winds in your sails, Explore. Dream. Discover.".  Here is a link to the tutorial on Split Coast Stampers.  I hope you all enjoy, my product list and complete instruction can be found on These are My Stamps #4259.

Jacksonville Starz September Blog Hop

Good Morning, I am so glad you were able to join us for our September edition of the Jacksonville Starz Blog Hop.  You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Maria Willis' blog.  This month we are inspired by the season "Fall".  So follow the hop to see what our amazing Starz have created.
When I think of Fall I think of the changing colors.  I tried to translate that in my card.

The stamp sets used were Vintage Leaves, Banner Blessings and Me = Grateful along with the Leaflets Framelits Collection.  I used the Baby Wipe technique to get a variegated color, using Classic Stampin' Ink Refills from the Regals color collection.  My base is Very Vanilla cardstock cut to 4 1/8 x 10 3/4 scored at 5 3/8 and backed with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Mossy Meadow card stock and matted with a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock.  I stamped the leaf onto a piece of Vanilla cut to 4 x 5 1/8 then cut it out.  The piece was added to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals, to pop it up, and the leaf cutout was placed it inside the space. I love the simplicity of the vanilla with a touch of color.

The next stop on the hop is Susan Best.  Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you next month.

New Look

Hi All!  I hope you noticed my new look to my blog.  I have taken the plunge and started updating it myself.  I have tons of ideas swirling in my head but think I will try to stay on point by giving you a glimpse into the world of Stampin' UP!  How will I do this?  By featuring a new product from the most current catalog each week & a share using the featured product, so you can get a feel for what you can do with it, AND the Weekly Deals Icon will show the current deals.  Next I will feature current SU Promotions on the side bar as long as it is running, and add featured products from our Annual Catalog.  As time passes I may change it up but I wanted you to have easy access to ever changing world of Stampin' UP!  Remember you can contact me any time to answer your questions about Stampin' UP! or help placing an order.
So for today's share I am using my featured product from the new Holiday Mini Catalog Among the Branches.

This is done in Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla card stock and I used the same inks but added Always Artichoke for some of my leaves.  The new TIEF Woodland was used to emboss the front and then I cut into equal strips.  It was mounted to a piece of Cajun Craze giving it a tiled effect.  I stamped the sentiment in Artichoke on Vanilla from the set Tag Talk punched with the Label Bracket Punch.  I made the faux tag in Cajun Craze.  I had to pull the Hello Honey 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon was from my stash of retired ribbon.  I hope you enjoyed my share and my new look.
Until next time....Be kind and Do one thing today that makes YOU Happy!!
