Jacksonville Starz Holiday Mini Catalog Blog Hop & Blog Candy!

Thanks for hoping over from Amanda Sevall's Blog.  I'm Rose Ann Marr and I live in Southwest Florida just outside of Fort Myers.  I have been making handmade cards since 2001 when I was invited to my first Stampin' UP! workshop.  I love their products and joined the Jacksonville Starz in 2010.
My card was done with Bright & Beautiful.

  • Align the Navy mat onto a piece of the White card stock.  Ink the large Star stamp with VersaMark then tap in to Navy ink pad, using your Navy Mat as a template, stamp the star inside the cutout. Cover your image with clear emboss powder and heat. Using the same inking technique, stamp ”Wishing You sentiment on your inside piece of white card stock add a small star to the bottom corner and emboss.  Stamp Season’s Greetings in VersaMark only and emboss with white emboss powder.
  • To assemble, mount the white cardstock to the front and inside of base. Line up the Navy Mat star to star, using Dimensionals at all corner and in the in between each point of the star, mount to front.
  • Use glue dots or sticky strip to mount your largest star frame inside the cutout. Using Dimensionals mount the smallest star frame to the center of the design be sure to match points.   Add a pearl to the center of the star and a tiny pear to the center of the inside star.

It's almost time!!!!

Wow, August is almost over, here in SW Florida the kids are back in school and it is very hot, but the rain has let up.  My grandson Cooper was here for his summer visit, each year he comes down for 3-4 weeks.  He is such a great boy, funny, smart and very loving.  He makes me proud, I am so happy to be his Grandma.  We went to Universal and he loved  Harry Potter but not the 3 hr wait to get into the attraction.  So he settled for a wand.   He is an old soul and just happy to hang with Grandpa & Grandma.  We stay up until the wee hours watching movies and talking about whatever comes to mind.  Love those nights.  They grow up so fast, it was just last year that we were watching cartoons.
He was gathering eggs in this picture. He wanted French toast everyday, so I had him go out to the coop and get the eggs.  I really miss him.

As some of you know, Stampin' UP! has a new Holiday Mini....It goes live for our Customers on August 28th.  I have had the opportunity to purchase several sets since Convention and wanted to share a couple of the cards I have made over the next few days.  If you haven't received a hard copy of the Mini let me know & I would be happy to send you one.

My first share was done with the set Cheerful Christmas, I used the Fillgree Frame Textured Impression Folder to emboss the front and inside.

I used Basic Black as the base a mat of Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White.  Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad.  Lastly, I added a little pearl to the center of the design on the front.  I hope you enjoy...
Here is a list of products used:
Cheerful Christmas Stamp set (Wood 135146 $24.95/Clear 135149 $17.95), Fillgree Frame TIEF (135818 $7.95), Big Shot (11349 $99.95),  Basic black, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White Card stock, Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink Pad and Basic Rhinestones.

Oldie but Goodie.....
Have been selling some of my retired sets on Ebay and wanted to do a little special something to enclose in the box.  I have this set that even through it has been retired forever, I still love it, it's called Definitely Decorative Daisy. Thought is was a simple way to use some of my retired paper.  and you can never have to much happy in your ebay box.
Here are a few of the cards I did, they are stamped randomly.  I used sassy salutations for the sentiments.

Thanks for visiting.  Until next time......Be Kind and DO One Thing Today that Makes YOU Happy!
