December class Projects
The Lee Country Library project for December 13, 2014 will be a Concertina Card featuring Holiday Home.  I got this inspiration from my California Sister Starz Sheilah, which she shared with us during our Holiday Mini Swap.  I did change mine up a bit using some retired Textured Cardstock In Smokey Slate and a few more houses.  This is still a work in progress for me since I still have two weeks before my class.

Class at the Lehigh Acres Senior Citizen Center
My next class for the center will be on December 10th.  We will be doing 2 cards and I have not finalized the second card yet.  Some of my ladies have attended the Stamp a Stack at the Library so I wanted to do cards that they had not done.

Don't forget November Hostess Code F9MCEEMD place any online order and add this code to your basket (at the bottom of page) and receive a thank you gift from me.  The Code will close on November 30, at 5pm Eastern time.  Remember On-line ordering makes it easy to shop, you register with your information and Stampin' UP keeps track of your orders, you can leave basket open to come back to and I automatically get your information into my data base.  Which makes it easy for me to keep you up to date with the latest catalogs or happenings at Stampin' UP!  Well, off to create...until next time.

Mini Magazine Holder

I love Split Coast Stampers, many of my ideas come from their website and from their galleries.  This box came from a Featured Tutorial last week and I just had to make one.  It is called the Mini Magazine Holder.  As always I changed mine up a bit.

I used 12 x 12 Basic Gray Textured Card stock which I know is retired but has more stability than smooth card stock.  It has Whisper White and Back to Black Designers Series Paper. Stamp sets used are Four Feathers and A Dozen Thoughts Stamps sets.  I followed the tutorial for the box which also featured the feathers cut with the Feathers framelits, I did mine in Basic Gray and then stamped one in the Pool/Gray variegated style  They are mounted to the box with Glue Dots and added a loose bow made with Basic Gray Bakers Twine and a silver button.  I made simple cards to include.  I stamped each with a feather and the sentiment is mixed with Thank You, Feel Better, Just Because and You Made my Day.  I made my feathers and sentiment variegated by stamping in the Pool Party pad then into the Basic Gray pad before I stamped my image.  It's an easy method but you have to make sure to stamp the lighter color first.  I did 4 cards vertical and 4 horizontal and left them blank inside.  The envelopes are stamped with a feather in the corner.  Easy Peazy and you have a beautiful gift for a hostess or teacher.  They would make great stocking stuffers, just modify to your theme or needs.  I plan to add these to my Christmas Craft for my Sisters this year. So if you are stuck for a idea, hop on over to Split Coast Stamper and check them out.
Until Next time

Happy November

Well it's November already, doesn't the time fly by.  It seems I look up and it is 3:00 in the afternoon and I've done NOTHING but stamp.  Speaking of stamping, I added the weekly deals at the bottom of this post just in case you are interested in some GREAT DEALS!  For me November is the time for Christmas Cards!!!!!  I have so many ideas (some I've already shared) and can't decide between all the great sets in the Holiday Mini.
Here is my share for today, it is done with Christmas Bauble, which is a single stamp.  I saw this a card done in gold on Split Coast Stampers.  It was done by Renee at Hearts Delight  Cards, I changed it up a bit but it still wasn't quite right.
The picture doesn't do this justice.  The card base is Baked Brown Sugar, with a Early Espresso mat, and a piece of Gold Soiree DSP.  The next layer is Brushed Gold Card Stock matted with Early Espresso  the image is embossed in Early Espresso Powder and colored with the Crumb Cake Blendies.  I also used the darkest two pens from the Skin Tone color collection and Cherry Cobbler.  The Merry Christmas is also embossed and matted with a Espresso faux frame.

Here is my card which was made with Brushed Silver Card stock and Silver Velum instead of Gold.

The base is Night Of Navy and the mat is done in Whisper white.  I added a piece of Smoky Slate then a piece of the Silver Velum.  The ribbon is Night of Navy 1/2" seam binding which I have to say Stampin' UP! makes the BEST ribbon.  I embossed the Bauble in Black embossing powder and colored it with both Night Of Navy and Smoky Slate Blendibilites.  With a touch of Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler, it is matted in Navy and mounted with Demensionals.   I think I like this better, what do you think??

There are links to most supplies and if you would like the instructions please let me know I can email them to you.

Weekly Deals for November 4 - November 10th.

Until next time.....be kind and Do One Thing Today That Makes YOU Happy!!
