Today's Share....Happy Easter to All

Today I'd like to share a card with you that I did from Love and Sympathy set.  It could be used for many occasions but I stamped it with Birthday Greetings from Blooming with Kindness Set.  I used Pink Pirouette, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla Card Stock.  The base is Espresso with a mat of Vanilla.  I made the pink background paper by adding the ink to my folder before I put the paper in and ran it thru the Big Shot.  I used Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impression Embossing folder.  Then cut a 2" strip and aligned it at the top with the Vanilla mat under it and used Mono Adhesive to mount it.  Using my Stampin' Write Markers in Pink Pirouette and Old Olive I colored the flower image.  Matting it with a slightly large piece of Pink I round two corners of each, mounting it to the larger piece of Vanilla, which I also rounded the corners.  .  Then stamped my Happy Birthday in Espresso.  I mounted it to the card with Dimensionals.  I hope you like my share today.
Until Next time......

NEW Hostess Code.

New Hostess Code........Did you know that you can hold a Workshop or Workshop in a Box*  and when we set up your workshop I can get a special Hostess Code that will be associated with your workshop.  You can send the code to your friends and family and tell them you are having a Workshop.  When they place an online order (either thru my website or the Company's) and put in the hostess code when asked.  The hostess gets the sale credit applied to her workshop and the hostess benefits.  Their friends get the preferred pricing and their items shipped directly to their house.  Wow what can be easier.  Check it out here.

*What is a Workshop in a Box you might ask.  This is for when a customer is not local but wants to do a workshop for their friends and family.  First you would look in your stamps and find a set you want to use (from the current catalogs only)and Stamp pads colors that you already have.  Then you contact me and say I would like to do a workshop in a box.  I will design a card from your selection (s).  Then I will send you a sample, instruction sheet and the card kits that include everything that you need (except mono adhesive and the stamp set/pads) to make the cards.  You gather the orders and the payments.  Send Order forms back to me and I will place the orders on your show.  Or with our new Hostess code, your friends can each go  my website and place the order using the hostess code, they can do it without worrying about sharing personal information with anyone.  It can be done right at your workshop.  It is easy to shop on my Stampin UP! website.  They will need to set up an sign in and password that will be just for them.  They will get their items delivered to their doorsteps.  The hostess order and any orders I place for you will be sent to you just as if it were a regular workshop.  We close the show when you decide (within 2 weeks of the show date). You (the Hostess) will need to send me your order and rewards so we can get your free stuff). I will keep you updated so you know exactly what you are earning free.
Well, this was not meant to be so long or detailed.  Let me know if you have questions and I can give you a call.  Until next time....Be Kind and do one thing today that makes you happy!

Pleasant Poppies

I am sorry I haven't been posted cards as often as I would like to, I have a bit of trouble with my hands and have been limited to stamping time.  I try to make a couple of cards at one time so I can post them more often.  I will try to do better.  I love to share my creations and hope you enjoy them as well.
Today I have a card done with Pleasant Poppies, it is a background stamp, from our 2012-2013 Catalog (comes in wood or clear.  I have had it for some time but hadn't used it.  While visiting my friend Lee I saw a card that she received in a swap, I didn't note who it was done by so I am sorry I can't give them credit.  I did this one from memory and changed it up a bit,  so I am not sure if it even resembles the original.  It is a simple card but I think will get the Sender a WOW!

I colored the Basic Rhinestones with a black Sharpie and placed them in the center of the open poppies.  Did you know that you can color your Stampin' UP! Basic Pearl and Rhinestones any color you want as long as you do it with a Sharpie so the color doesn't rub off.
The card base is Tangerine Tango card stock, with a Whisper White mat which is stamped with Tangerine Tango I added a Happy Birthday from the Perfect Punches Stamp Set punched out with my Extra Large Oval punch and a butterfly from Papillon Potpourri stamped with Rose Red and punched with the Elegant Butterfly Punch.  I used a piece of Rose Red card stock that I edged with the Scallop Edge Border punch and a piece from the Floral District Designer Paper.  I popped the mat up with Dimensional.  I finished the inside with poppies stamped in Rose Red and Warm wishes.  Easy Peesy the color is breezy!
You can purchase any of the products used for this card by clicking on the product name or visit my website here.
Have a great weekend.  Until next time.

Micky

I wanted to share this card with you that I did the other day. It was in a swap that my friend Lee had but I didn't write down who made it.  I changed up the colors a little using Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Basic Black and a bit of Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper.

The base is done in Whisper white and matted with Daffodil cut to 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 and textured with the Perfect Polka Dot TIEF.  I only did about 1/2 of the paper, as you can see in the picture.  Next I cut a strip of Basic Black 5" x 1 1/4" and flagged the end with my square punch (you can do it with scissors if you don't have a sq. punch).  I used Mono Adhesive to attach the mat to the base and the black strip to the mat.  Next cut a piece of black paper 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 and a piece of white 3 1/8 x 2 1/8.  On the white piece you will use the Oval Designer Frames Folders to make the frame in the paper, next punch out a piece of DSP using your Extra Large oval punch. Tape the DSP oval into the   frame.  To make Micky, punch a 1" circle for his head and 2 1/2" circles for the ears.   Assembly by taping the smaller circles to the back of the larger one.  as shown.  Tape Micky's head to the DSP.  Then make a small bow for his tie, I used 1/2" Daffodil Delight Seam Binding (or use a contrasting color like red or blue) and wrap the tails around the the back of the white and adhere the bow with a glue dot.  Mount this piece to the Black and mount it to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
To purchase any of the supplies to make this card just click on the item and you will go to my store.  Thanks for checking in I hope you enjoyed my card.  See you again soon.

Introducing Photopolymer by Stampin' Up!

Introducing Photopolymer by Stampin' Up!

We're excited to let you know that we're introducing a new photopolymer stamp. What is this, you wonder? Well, it's a type of stamp where the actual stamp image is clear in addition to the block.
We're starting off with one stamp set and we plan to offer a new one each month on a trial basis. We now offer options for every stamper: wood-mount, clear-mount, and now photopolymer. It is great to have a choice.
So without further adieu, let me introduce you to the Designer Typeset Stamp Set. It’s based around a really great san serif font that will work well on just about any project. And then there are embellishments and shapes to take whatever you want to say to the next level. The possibilities are seriously endless.

I’ll admit, once I started playing around with the stamp set, I had a hard time stopping. The mess that has taken up residence in my craft room attests to this fact. So many witty one-liners, so little time.

But before I get too carried away, let’s get to talking about the benefits of photopolymer stamps. For those who are unfamiliar, let me point out a couple of things I personally find really cool.

First, they’re completely clear, making it oh-so-easy to stamp exactly where you want. They come unmounted, on an acetate sheet, and temporarily adhere to our clear blocks. Awesome!

Second, they are pliable. Want your arrow to shoot a certain way? No problem! Want your banner to have the perfect sag? Easy peasy! Being able to play with the shape gives you even more creative freedom.

So let’s get down to the nitty gritty. The Designer Typeset Stamp Set is in the online store starting now. Go to my website to get yours.  Check out all the specials that Stampin' UP! has to offer. Just follow the link and away you go!
I am a bit behind on my stamping I will be back tomorrow with a new card creation.  Until then.....Keep it inky.
