Hot Diggity Dog - WWYS #26

Glad to have you visit today.  I hope wherever you are life is treating you good.  We here in SW Florida are having some pretty wild thunderstorms, we had 7 + inches of rain yesterday alone. I wish Mother Nature could spread the love to some areas that need more rain we are soggy here. I know I shouldn't complain but......
I am very excited to have been chosen as a Guest Designer for What Will You Stamp #26.  You need to check out their website.  Each week a talented team of SU Demonstrators share their talents using the same stamp set.  This weeks set is Hot Diggity Dog (134024)

Here is my card using this set........

I used Cherry Cobbler base matted with Whisper White.  I stamped the bones around the outside edge using Early Espresso & Cherry Cobbler Markers.  I finished the bones with Crystal Effects dusted with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  My Scottie is done in Black Memento Ink with a Curry shirt. My Pug is done in Espresso.  I fussy cut both heads & popped them up with Dimensional.  They looked a little flat so I added a thin coat of Crystal Effects.  A faux frame in Cherry finishes the label & the Cherry Candy Dots were added to give it balance.  I hope you enjoy!

Sea Street-What Will You Stamp #23

Hi all!
Another raining Monday here is SW Florida, the rain is not unusual for us this time of year, but it is usually sunny most of the day then around 4 it starts to cloud up and rains around  5 pm and then the sun comes back out again.   It has been overcast and dreary for two weeks and I need some Vitamin D...  WHAAAAA
Like you I follow a ton of blogs and I love What Will You Stamp (WWYS), each week I hope they will be using a set I have so I can play along.  This week's set is Sea Street.  I have to say that when I saw the set I had to have it but once it arrived, I was not so enthusiastic.  I don't make very many cards for Kids so I was perplexed as to how to use it.  I did this card as an idea for my Library classes this fall and put it aside, unfinished.   This week's WWYS reminded me of it and I pulled it out and finished it up.
I found this technique on my go to website Split Coast Stampers.  I have to say when I am stuck I hop over and check out the newest tutorials or galleries, I always find something to inspire me.  This is called a shadow box card.  It is quick and easy to make.
So here is the set for this week:

And this is what I stamped with it...

The base is done in Whisper White and Island Indigo.  I sponged color onto the background and colored the flags & school of fish with Markers and the little octopus was stamped in gray, He didn't show up very well so he was stamped it again on a piece of scrap the covered with Silver Glitter and fussy cut him out.  He is popped up on Dimensionals.  I added the stars and Sea creatures onto the front with glue dots and left the back blank to allow for a sentiment to be stamped later.  I used almost every stamp in the set and with the other WWYS creations, I will be using this set more often.  Thanks for stopping and have a great week.
Until next time....Be Kind and DO One Thing Today that Makes YOU HAPPY!!

Jacksonville Staz August Hop

Good Morning, I am so glad you were able to join us for our August edition of the Jacksonville Starz Blog Hop.  You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Beka Laing's blog.  This month we are inspired by a sketch, I can't wait to see what our Starz have created so hop on down to see the inspiration and my interpretation.

Here is my card...

I used the sets Timeless Love & Remarkable You.   It's done in black/white/silver, I heat embossed the flowers and sentiment on the front.  The flowers are done with a Window sheet & Stazon, then covered with Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds and fussy cut I mounted with Crystal Effects.  You can see the technique done by Deb Valder on You Tube.  I tied the label with a piece of Silver Satin Ribbon.
The next stop on the hop is Amanda Sevall.  Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you next month.
